Drop down and give me 20...

Well hey everybody

This week was amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We had 2 FHE set up with some less active families working with them so they can go through the temple...and so on Monday we passed by one of them... the family Espinosa... and it was the little girls 8 yrs old birthday party... they have four kids all under the age of 13... and so we thought we would do a game with them... and relate it to the attonement
what we did was we bought some cookies and put a handful in a cup for everybody everybody should have gotten about 8-10 cookies...
but the trick was that in order for them to eat there cookies Elder Brasher had to do 1 pushup for every cookie that they had... we went to the first kid(Nacho 6yrs) and he had 9 so elder brasher did 9 pushups... and nachos face was priceless he was so sad that elder brasher had to do pushups for him... then we went around the room and every body had about 9-10 then we get to the girl who just turned 8 and she looks down at her cookies then looks up smiles and said she had 20 cookies... then she started laughing... hahaha she like it when elder brasher was doing pushups... anyway then we read out of Alma 7 with then and compared it to The Attonement...
it went really great and the spirit was deffenently there...

Then we took it to wed and did it with another family that the mom was baptized about 30 yrs ago and the dad 20 and the 2 kids are about 18-19 boy and girl and they were baptized when they were 8... the daughter is so cool and has a really strong testimoney one of the strongest i have seen here but the boy is struggaling a little bit and is going to an envangelical church so we wanted to mainly focus on him... and we get to the house and one of his friends from the evangelical church is there... and we sat down and started talking well listening to what this guy had to say and he was talking about alot of crazy things... and we tried sharing something while he was there but it just wasnt the place or time... and then eventually he left and then the daughter had questions about some of the things he was saying and just about everybody was trying to get there two words in and there opinion about the matter... then i just told them that those things were not important and that our salvation didnt depend on those things... we were able to teach our lesson again with the family with out problems it went smooth and the spirit was really strong... then i asked the family to think about what they were feeling and about how they felt when we were talking about those crazy things... and all of them said that they felt better and more peace when we were talking about the attonement of Jesus Christ than when we were talking about non important things.... then i just shared my testimony about the small and simple things...

We also have a baptism coming up on the 21st and then another on the 28

21 is a mom whos husband is a member and we found her on the inactive list

28 is a guy Brasher and roberts found but then had to have surgery and was never home but then me and brasher went back and he said he wanted to get baptized

sorry i will explain more about them next week
