So i was reading your letter and thats super funny about how sister snow has to hide her hair... here in Paraguay there is no worry for that they are super tranquilo(In paraguay it means calm/ Relaxed)you ask people como estas... and they respond to you Tranquilo PA... Like its going good...
The only Dangerous parts about paraguay are the Drunks which arnt even that dangerous... and you just have to have fun with them... Im not sure if i told you or not but when i was with elder Thomas we almost got Robbed by a drunk...
hahah super funny looking back at it... we were in Maria Auxiliadora about a 2hr walk to our house down a Pitch black Jungle Path... and we were just waiting for a bus to come... it was like 9pm and the last bus passes at 9:15 so we thought we missed it... so we just waited a little bit longer... And the way it was set up was We were standing on the side of the street, behind us was about 20 feet deep of jungle then a railroad track then a members house... and we saw a guy walking toward us down the street and we could tell he was drunk from 100 feet away...and so we dip down into the woods a little bit Tomas was wearing his black Jacket and i had a long white shirt on so i was hiding behind him then then guy stops right in front of us then turns his head super sharp toward us and looks at us... in that moment i craped my pants... i threw my white hand book at him and tomas and i take off running and we just storm into the Members house and sit down next to him... he looks and us and said Mbaetiko... Whats Up???
We told him what was going on and then the Drunk Walks in... (there is no front door) looks at me gives me back my white hand book and sits down then Passes out...
when elder tomas and i got back home we started laughing about it.... turns out the guy was an inactive member that lived In another ward....
And thats just about as dangerous as Paraguay gets...
So mom and dad dont worry... the only thing that will happen is they will try to talk to you in english (but you wont be able to understand)... then they will ask you if you know guarani then laugh when you tell them ¨aahhhh Dai quiay, Dai Pori la guaranime¨ I dont know...There is no guarani¨(literal Translation)
So this next week coming up is Changes My last full Changes in the office... in three weeks i will get my kid...we have 2 people in mmind that we think it will be Elder Brown, or Elder McComber... Just at what time they are in the mission and there personality...and In 6 more weeks i will leave to go out to my new area...
Well i had been talking with president about us moving into a bigger house...when we Have changes we have 4 News Stay at our house then 12 fit in Mburucuya House then everybody else goies to the hotel.... and it gets pretty expensive with 5to more missionaries so i was thinking well were going to get a doctor for our mission and president to me to go look for a house for her to stay in that is Worth about 2 Million Guaranies or less and within walking distance of the office... Our area is the Richist part of our mission and to find a house would be super hard... we ended up finding a house but it was super big a little to big for just one person...she doesnt really need a big house... and so i was talking to president well we would be able to fit 15-20 missionaries in this house for changes.... Why dont we move into it and she takes our old house...He loved it and so this week we moved into our new house it is super huge then All of us were thinking man this house would be perfect for paint ball... then the Brains started working... lets just say we went to the Paraguayan dollar store, Bought Nerf guns and having nerf wars on P days...SUPER FUN
So with Roberto He Loves Listening to us and Last week i went by With Elder Richins(who goes home this week by the way) and we visited him but when we saw him we were out side on his SUPER NICE Patio...and his wife was inside on the couch reading a magazine but obviously listening to us
Then elder wing and i went back this week... and the first thing he told us is that he was sorry that he didnt go to church... he said he got up at 6 and was all ready to go and then his wife got mad at him because he was planning on going... and he said he was sorry.... then he told us that he was pretty high up in the catholic church... and that it would be super Hard for him to change and so he told us it would have to be a miracle other wise he would change... then we told him... if you dont go to church then you wont ever know which church true... then i invited him to go super boldly... and it was quite for about 2-3 min but felt like an hour... were he was just staring at me and i was staring at him... then he said.... sure, i will go...
Well we talked to marta on Wed and it was a good lesson... then ricardo told her... tell them what you did on sunday... she looks at us with a huge smile and said she paid her tithing.... super cool not even a member yet and shes paying her tithing...
Well i love you guys so much hope everything goes well this week...wish us luck on changes... Happy Thanks giving...
Love Elder Dayley
