Forgive me!
For Elder Dayley's last week in Paraguay, we were so very blessed to be able to fly down and see some of the areas he had been serving and meet some of the very special people there!
It ended up being such a very good thing for our family!
Very precious time together, and we loved everyone we met, it was amazing!!
This is our official first photo together when he met us at the airport.
The office Elders that brought him to us.
The little lady in the back beside Jacob cleaned his clothes for him when he was in this area.
The children were soooo sweet and we were so happy we had some treasures from America to give them.
This young man is preparing to serve a mission and Jacob dropped off some of his mission clothes that were not all worn out.
Efrain loved the American candy and we saw him a later in the week at a baptism and gave him more of his favorite candy, we keep up with him and his family on facebook too. So fun!
This was a rainy rainy day and we attended church inside this little chapel (inside small old house), one of my most favorite memories of the week.
Hermana Natona taught Elder to cook many things while he lived in a room above her restaurant/home he had not been to see her since his first 6 mos. in the mission, so she was very excited to see him. She wanted to talk to me so badly and told him many times during our visit, "your mother needs to learn to speak Spanish"! I bet she had many stories about our son.
One of our favorite families, Hermano Franco. They fed us dinner our first night in Paraguay, it was sooo good. A great way to win our hearts! And they have a missionary serving in Brazil that Jacob had met before he left. Hermano came to the airport at 3am as he was getting off of work, to bring Jacob a special Paraguayan flag when he was flying home. Super great guy, and so thoughtful!!!
Hermana Biaz, and her son. She fed our son many many meals when he was serving in her area. She made him some crochet baby booties, table clothes, and flowers to bring home as a keepsake.

A very special family in one of the very far away areas Jacob served in his first 6 mos. in the mission. We spent part of an afternoon with them, and they loved Elder Dayley so much! He was especially close to them and we were able to deck them out in BSU gear, which they loved. Jacob taught their daughter and she was then baptized by her father. He wants to name his daughter one day after her because she was so "solid", he name is Anahi! They had just been to the Temple and been sealed as a family a few months before we were there, and they were so excited and happy to tell us their story, it was quite a road for them to finally get there.
One of Jacob's converts, her husband is a truck driver and we didn't get to meet him, but he and Jacob spent many hours talking truck while he was teaching her.
Juan and Elida, he was the first member ever baptized in San Pedro and they were so good to Jacob, it was fun to see them together again when we visited!
Another convert Jacob was able to baptize on his mission, the youth are so amazing!!
Mission President and his wife!
These are just a few of the photos we took. There were many times and places we could not take photos, but the memories will be with us for a lifetime!
We are so happy to have our son home.
It was such an amazing journey for all of us and we are eternally grateful to have our hearts changed by the people who supported and loved us while he was away, for those who took care of him while he was in their care, and for all of the wonderful memories and strength we gained from the experience of his 2 year service to a very loving and graceful Heavenly Father.
