Jacob leaving for his interview tonight with his Stake President...
I know, a few too many "stalking" pictures.. but I was sooo excited for him, and the only way I know to deal with my excitement is to capture every single moment through my lens.
.
He came home with really good news, the papers are going in and the call should come within a few weeks.
Our Stake President is an awesome and amazing man and our family has so much respect and love for him. I have been taught so many times by him, and learned from serving under him to ALWAYS have my scriptures with me. When in doubt, ask yourself, "Will this be an opportunity that I might be taught by the spirit?", if the answer is yes (note: the answer is always yes), then grab your scriptures. So I continue to try and teach my family all those valuable nuggets I have learned. I had happy feet that Jacob grabbed his scriptures.
Jacob said it was a very personal, but he did share that they read the scriptures together and Pres. McCune taught him, and how much he loves to learn from him. And that he was very much touched by the spirit! (he said "I hate to cry, but I guess it's a good thing in this case")
President told him the papers looked good, no problems and he would send them in and he should expect his mission call in the mail within approximately 3 weeks.
We are beyond excited at our house tonight!!
Jacob couldn't wait to start getting guesses on where he will go from his friends, so we posted an event on facebook.
He is trying to decide what we can do for the winning closest guess, it will be something that is close to his heart.
