Hey Eveyone
Well this week was fun but a little hard. This week we were preparing three
people for baptism...
Hugo M- 14 - He is a stud... his older brother is a member but is less
active, and the first night i was in san pedro we stopped by his house and was
talking to pedro (hugos brother) and then hugo stopped by and wanted to know what
we were talking about... he doesn't really speak spanish... mostly
guarani... but can somewhat read spanish and understand it... any way he has
gone to church 4 times and to the fireside but has missed church that past two
weeks cause he had to work...so we are thinking about push back his baptism
until he goes to church again... just so that we are sure that he is ready
Fransisco C- 23 - Also a stud... we met him when we were trying to find
another house but they were not home... so we went next door and saw that he was
working on his lawn and asked if we could help... of course he wouldn't let us
so we just talked to him about the church... not really sure what he thought
about us... we came back a few days later and asked if he read the folleto we
gave him... he said yeah i did a little bit... but i would really like to learn
more...haha so we have been teaching him and every once in a while we go to his
work and buy the best super panchos (hot dogs) and Lomitos in town...
Now for the Subject...
Our other investigator is named...
Dori M. 24 - Dori is amazing... she was living with Nedi who is a
brother of one of our members (victorina member for 20 years) and they had a boy
(Emerson who is nine right now... who is baptized) but then Nedi started
drinking and smoking and getting into some bad stuff so she left him and
moved... Shes been all over south america pretty much and then just decided to
move in with victorina...
Victorina told us this and said that Dori had a son who was baptized...but
she wasn't...and that she wanted to change her life and get baptized... so she
moved in with victorina and started working at her store and helping out...so we
have been teaching her... but then she told us that she was going to get back
together with Nedi...but she told nedi that the only way she would get back
together with him was if he got baptized so he agreed... this sunday we had our
fast and testimony meeting... because last week the President escobar talked and
announced that we would be having a president... Joel (pretty much like a branch
president) and so we moved testimony meeting to this sunday...any way... Emerson
got up and bore his testimony.... wow...just wow...he has a strong testimony and
then when he came and sat down (the three of them were sitting in front of
me)... I just saw my own family sitting there (water works haha)...and how we have
our story and everything..and even though its not exactly the same as Dori and
Nedi...but its pretty darn close...i could just see them going to the temple in
1 year or so and being sealed...they are going to get married this week and then
this saturday she will be baptized... and then hopefully 1 month from now so
will nedi...
I am truly grateful for this gospel...and for the opportunity that i have
to share it with others... and tell them that they can be sealed for time and
all eternity with there son... I think i see why i was called to serve in san
pedro now haha
Next week is going to be CRAZY... tuesday night i go to Santani and will be
going on splits with Elder T. (hes from eagle and played with Christian P. on the boise flight golf team),(hes only been out 6 weeks or one more change than i
have) on wednesday because his comp, Elder A. DL (pocatello) is coming
here on tuesday night to do interviews will be here all day wednesday... and
then Wednesday night Elder N. and Elder A. will go back to
santani...so all four of us will be in santani... then thursday we will be
having a christmas devotional with president madariaga with our zone...and then
we will come back friday morning...then saturday we will hopefully have Dori´s
wedding then the baptisms cross your fingers
For christmas You are supposed to call us and we will give you the number a
little later...(you might want to see whats the cheapist way to do so)...and you
will call me on the 24th at 11 am your time it can only be for 40min... also you
will call us about a week before to see if it works and the connections good...i
will let you more when i do...
our mail system thing is wacked out so i wont be able to send a letter in about 3-4 more weeks but i have written some so be on the look out

just started busting up laughing

A huge watermelon (his comp said " I thought it was kind of funny and cool the other night as I was sitting on my bed chowing down on one of the best watermelons that I have ever had and just thinking about how you are all freezing right now and that I am eating watermelon." )
