Hey everyone... todo Py agua Py(tranquilo(all good))aqui en San Pedro
Mom and Dad do you remember that little roller coaster i was on when i was
like 4-5 years old and cried the whole time, and it was nice to get off of
that one and see that all was ok... This week was just like that a nail bitting
roller coaster ride that i didnt want to be on but when it was over i turned out
all good and loved it...
Any ways so many things happened this week...
Well thursday i think it was it was raining and nothing was really going
on... so as we were walking to our next appointment some guy stops us and says
that he talked to the missionaries before was almost baptized(he was a little
different)... so he tells us to follow him and go to his house... so we do and
we were talking with him... im not sure if he was drunk or on drugs or what...
but we were teaching him and extended the baptismal invite and he was quiet for
a little bit then looked at elder Nielson and just started singing... it was a
little funny(we didnt laugh) but aswell a little sad... and made me think about
how much satan can take away our ability to think and chose right from wrong...
In san pedro there are alot of borachos(drunks) and it is really hard to think
about how much they are losing by doing that and almost impossible to teach
people like that and show them the right way...
So our main goal this last week was to find Some solid investigators
because it has been a little slow... so we have been visiting this lady maria
who lives across from Francisco and we cant understand what she says cause its
all in guarani... so we take Francisco to Translate for us... any way we clapped
the house and her 14 yr son comes out holding the folleto that we gave her...
and maria wasnt home... but we talked to him and started teaching him about the
restoration (the folleto he had) and when we were teaching him he was finishing
our sentences... He knew Everything about it... He said he liked it(by the way
we had the best feeling about him the entire time)... so we asked him to be
baptized and he said yes... we invited him to church... then he said he had to
go to asuncion this sunday, we asked him when he was coming back...(Dagger to
the heart moment)... oh no voy a volver... Which means im not going to come
back... wow that was hard to hear but we told him to call us when he finds out
where he will live and will tell the missionaries to contact him
there...BUMMER
But to make things better...
So hugo hasnt been coming to church a whole lot almost every other week...
He needs to go two more in a row to be baptised... and so we were just wondering
what we sould do about him cause we dont want to baptise him then him not come
to church anymore... so we talked to him on thursday and told him what was going
on... he told us that he thought he could only be baptized in December... haha
our bad... so we explained that he can get baptized whenever he wants... so we
cleared that up with him... so we werent able to visit him at all friday or
saturday...so we werent sure if he was going to come or not because his phone
was turned off... so we were bitting our nails sunday... and he wasnt there for
Gospel principles... got a little down... but he did show up for sacrament...
any way we are planning on having his baptism on the 28th of january...
Joel Bought a truck... and so we came by to take a look at it... i had told
him that i had worked on motors before(not the same) so he thought i knew stuff
about cars... so we went over and looked around the car making it look like we
knew what we were doing(we didnt) but we could see stuff that he needed to
change... the simple stuff like tires, air filter, lights, the screen in front
(no clue what its called) and something whit his Axel... and so we told him what
he needed to do and asked us if we could help him... hahaha finaly we admitted
and told him we knew what he needed to do but not how to do it... haha he
thought it was funny and said in english... You guys...(pause trying to think)
have failed me... hahaha so funny when he talks in english...but we did tell him
we would help him with the stuff we knew how haha
