Another fun day with Jacob taking care of pre-mission stuff!
Went and picked up the paperwork from our Bishop, took it to the Doctors office, we literally snuck in the back door (because nobody had returned our call) and caught him between patients.... he was able to write in the blood type and finished filling out the boxes that got missed during the first round. Awesome, and we didn't get arrested for sneaking in the back door, bonus... but it would have been worth it to finish this paperwork, and I am not exaggerating... well only a little.
Then we dropped said paperwork back off by to our Bishop's office (pretty sure he will be very sick of our family by the time this is over too). We (I say "we"... it's official I am way more anxious at this point than Jacob is... he is just taking one day at a time) will wait for him to review them and go from there. So far he has dodged that extra shot.
Called and ordered a copy of the blood donor card... just in case that comes back to haunt us. Waiting 8-10 weeks to touch it.
Called the bank where we had spent part of the day last Friday (I didn't log the first event Friday because I didn't think it was a big deal or really a step that needed to be recorded in the mission process, but it is turning out to be a big part of the process) setting up another account that fit better for how he needs his money set up for the next two years to put in place an automatic transfer each month so it would be a free account. The transfer they had explained would make it free, didn't make it free and it wasn't even what they said it was and ended up NOT being what he needed. I knew I had left that meeting with a really bad feeling in the pit of my stomach... but didn't know why. Now I know why... what a waste of time. So we cancelled it, stopped all that work, and went to my bank today. Spent another 2 hours to set up something else for him. I dislike banks and bankers ALLOT right now!! But I think Jacob is learning tons in the process.
I am so very grateful that he worked so hard to have money to have to learn these lessons. That is truly a blessing from heaven!
