¿¿¿Dia de QUE???

Hey Everyone

Well this week was a fun one... we started out the week by doing some service for a member in our ward she had a bunch of trees that she wanted cut down... and so there were elder n- and i with hermana elida and Giermo (a 20year old whos is thinking about going on a mission but his family doesnt want him to) and so we were cutting down trees and branches with the good old machetes and only one axe between us... and so it took a while to do it but the blessings were definantly worth it... Bill B- would have been proud hahaha...

as we were doing the service giermo comes up to me and we start talking about missions and supprisingly i was able to understand all of what he was saying and was able to respond to his concerns about his family... then he started talking about his cousin who was shot in a drive by and was wondering if he would be forgiven of his sins... it was a really spiritual experience for me and him to be able to talk about life after death and how we can return to live with our family again...

Well how was thanksgiving???   It was a fun one here in Paraguay... Especially trying to tell the members what Dia de Gracias means... we would tell them that in the estados unidos we have a holiday that is called Dia de Gracias... Everybody would respond "dia de QUE" hahaha so funny but it was nice to let them know some of the things that we do in the estados unidos that they can learn more about
Well for thanks giving we were planning on buying a chicken... with mashed potatoes gravy green beans... ect so on and so forth... we wanted to have a feast for lunch... but when we got to our apartment on Thursday we were dead tired and didnt want to do anything...hahaha so my comp had an apple... and i had Macaroni and cheese with Chocolate milk YUM YUM YUM... cant get any better that that...hahaha...

we don't ever eat dinner but Thursday we felt like celebrating thanksgiving for real... One of our investigators Francisco works at a lomitaria which is kind of like a hot dog stand... they sell lomitos, Super panchos (hot dogs) and other stuff... so we stopped by that night and got Lomitos from him... never had one before... THE BEST THING EVER... its like a breakfast sandwich from jack in the box on steroids soooo goood...it has this pita bread kind of thing with a thin steak. fried egg, tomato. lettuce. ham. and some other stuff...best food in Paraguay yet haha
(lomitos aka steak sandwich, paraguayan style)

I know that this church is true with out a shadow of a doubt... just like the brother of jared... ether 3:19... he no longer had faith... for he knew, nothing doubting...i too have that same testimony... I have seen the hand of god in my life...(not literally) but i have seen him bless me and those people of San Pedro that I teach and i no longer have faith(i do)... I know nothing doubting...

Love Elder Dayley (they pronounce it Darelery)
