Jacob 2:16 (photos updated 11-22-11)

Hey everyone

Everything here is tranquilo...or its all good in guarani its py agua py (pronounced poo awa poo)

On tuesday we got to go to the temple and it was such a cool experience we did baptisms for the dead and then did a session... ALL IN SPANISH so saweet... i was talking with one of the workers there and he said he knew a rough rider from boise... pretty sure i would know who he was talking but asked him anyway...Jim B-... i just started to cry...haha so i told him that he was in my ward and that he was a really good friend... Marvin T- was his name... he said that you were college roomates...he said he is still a little bitter about you getting married and taking all of the furniture with you...hahahaha....

On wednesday we were meeting with an eternal investgator...eternal because he wants to be baptized but cant because he cant afford to get divorced from his first wife... his name is oscar and he only has one leg... we clapped his house(knocked) and he was playing the guitar... so naturally i got excited and so i got to play a little bit of guitar with him and got to listen to him... he is really good... then i shared a scripture (jacob 2:16 i think) and how music is really nice to listen to... and how going to church is like listening to music... when we listen to music we feel refreshed... going to church is the same way we get to listen to the palabras de dios words of god and how that will allow us to feel refreshed...

COOL STORY TIME
so this week not much has been happening with us nobody was really keeping there commitments and not really listening to us... and it was really hard to find investigators
so me and Elder N- decided that we were going to fast... during that time we set record numbers for our companionship and were really intuned with the spirit we found lots of investigators but the real gem that we found was Fransisco... he is 23 years old and is a facultad student (small college) and so we met with him and talked about the restoration... then on saturday we talked to him again and asked him what he thought... he says he knows that this church is true and wants to learn more... he is set to be baptized on the 10th of december but its going to have to be moved to the 17th cause he wasnt able to go to church this sunday... (investigators have to go to church 3 times before baptism)
I know that fasting really does work...And we must have a sincere fast for 24hours not just 18 or whatever 24 no matter what... and we must have a purpose every time...i know that when we fast using those two things 24 hours and a purpose that we will be humble and come closer to god...

everybody... i love you all so much and i know that i am called to serve the people of San Pedro... although i can not understand them half the time because of the guarani... the lord puts words in my mouth so that i can communicate with them Matt 10:16-21
