Elder Jacob Dayley: Operation Elder Bednar...

Yes we planned every minute of it... WOWZER

Well about an hour ago we had the Conference from Elder Bednar SUPER COOL

It reminded me of the time we saw Elder Grow, after the trek.

It all started out with the Hermana Bednar and she gave her testimony… There was someone there to translate for her… and she took up about 10 min then the other 2hr 50min were given to Elder Bednar…. And this is how he Started off

After introducing himself he said, When you Teach an investigator, you teach by the Spirit… Then super boldly tells us Point at the Crowed If you think a 19 yr old boy converts people, Your Stupid… (im just saying what the Apostle said hahaha) then there were about 5-6 other instances like that, where he would say… Think again … your all wrong… or You just don’t get it…. Hahahaha super funny

He was doing the… question game with us for a good majority… where we had the opportunity to ask him a question and he would respond… there were some great questions asked and he gave us some examples of questions that he didn’t want to hear like Wheres the Sword of laban? ¨Honestly I Don’t know Elders and Honestly I don’t Really care¨ hahaha (this will be refered to a little farther down )

I was sitting next to Elder Callero(who told me he will go the the argentine airport to say hello when we go through to go back home hahaha) and He is serving in a place called Yby Yau…and the senor comp there is the Branch President, not just presiding elder… any way he asked a question about revelation and how we can know when we are receiving revelation.... and/or if its revelation…. And Elder Bednar started talking about Nefi in the Book of Mormon and how it took him three tries to go get the Plates… and how he received the revelation to go and get them… wasn’t told exactly how to do it…so they drew sticks… but that didn’t work, not saying Nefi messed up just saying he learned that wasn’t Gods plan… then they tried buying the plates but… couldn’t Elder Bednar then said "because spiritual happieness cannot be bought with temporal things"… then the third time he just went… and that was what the Lord wanted done… so when we get revelation sometimes its not so clear and Heavenly Father wants us to make decesions and learn from them…

Then another elder asked him How do we know if we are worthy or not to serve a mission…. Bednar was just looking at him and shaking his head… and straight up said… ¨Don’t worry about it man¨…hahahaha If you are Asking for forgivness and doing the things necessary to be forgiven… then Heavenly father will forgive you… it says that when we repent of our sins heavenly father will remember them no more… it doesn’t say we will remember them no more just says heavenly father will forget them…

All in all it was a great Conference but the best experience was this

Elder Bednar called on someone and just before the Elder could give his question elder Bednar said "wait a sec… I hope Some of you elders are not offended if I don’t call on you im just allowing the Spirit to help me discern who I should ask… and then he said Some people say that apostles can see through people and Know what they are thinking… ´´sometimes we can, just being honest" hahahahaha I like how he was honest with the Labans sword… he didn’t know so he told us, he didn't know… but he did tell us that he could see through people and know what they are thinking… and was sort of serious hahahahahahahaha… anyway so he told us that he was just letting the spirit help him with the gift of discernment…then he told the Elder to go ahead… Guess what the question was… How do we discern when we have the spirit… everything that elder bednar had just talked about had anwered the elders question even before he asked it….WOW

So yeah this week was really cool… I went on division with Elder Sanderson, and then the Next day With Elder Rivera our new District leader…

Well I love guys So much i hope everything goes well with the, what looks like a little Rat, your watching at the house hahahahahahahaa
